This policy explains how ATG Press selects, researches, produces, corrects, and discloses its English-language coverage of Japan.
Editorial Purpose
Our goal is to help international readers understand what changed in Japan, why it matters, what remains uncertain, and which official data or corporate disclosures should be watched next. In line with our Active Tokyo Growth identity, we give particular attention to growth companies, capital efficiency, corporate-governance reform, dividend increases, buybacks, and valuation gaps supported by identifiable catalysts. We do not publish articles merely to repeat a headline or chase search traffic.
Source Standards
We prefer primary and authoritative sources, including company investor-relations releases, securities filings, TDnet, EDINET, the Japan Exchange Group, the Bank of Japan, government ministries, official statistics, and responsible regulatory bodies. Secondary reporting may help identify a topic or provide context, but material claims should be traced to the strongest available source.
- Dates, company names, security codes, units, and numerical claims are checked before publication.
- Forecasts are labeled separately from completed results.
- Market-price-dependent figures include a data date whenever practical.
- Reported facts, company statements, third-party opinions, and ATG Press analysis are distinguished.
- Rumors and anonymous social-media claims are not treated as evidence of corporate intent.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
ATG Press uses automated and AI-assisted tools for tasks that may include topic discovery, source organization, drafting, translation support, table preparation, image generation, and publication checks. AI output is not accepted as a source. Articles must pass source, originality, language, image, and technical validation gates before publication. Unsupported numbers, quotations, or claims are prohibited.
Financial Coverage and Scores
Company screens, scenario analysis, and editorial scores are frameworks for organizing disclosed evidence. They are not price targets, guarantees, or recommendations to buy, sell, or hold a security. A score must be accompanied by its factors, assumptions, risks, and source dates. Historical performance does not guarantee future results.
Charts, Tables, and Images
Tables should identify periods, definitions, and sources. Missing information is marked as unavailable rather than estimated without support. Embedded market widgets may contain delayed third-party data and are provided for context. AI-generated editorial images must not fabricate corporate logos, quotations, financial figures, or charts.
Corrections and Updates
We correct material factual errors as promptly as practical. Articles may also be updated when a company revises guidance, an agency releases final data, or a material source changes. To report an error, send the article URL, the disputed statement, and a supporting source through our Contact page.
Advertising and Commercial Independence
Advertising, affiliate relationships, or other commercial arrangements do not determine our factual conclusions or editorial scores. Sponsored or affiliate-supported material will be disclosed where applicable. We do not ask readers to click advertisements.
